Rich Smith, PGA, recently retired CEO from the North Florida Section of the PGA of America, has acquired his first course under his management company, Cloud Ten! Marketing Group, LLC.

Ironically, Bobcat Trail Golf Club in North Port, Florida, the club he was working at when he was recruited to lead the fourth largest section of the PGA of America, is his first purchase.

Shortly after closing the Bobcat Trail deal, Smith invested over $2 million in restoring the golf course and clubhouse, in addition to renaming it Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club.

Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club is nestled conveniently halfway between I-75 and U.S. 41 off exit 179 in North Port, Florida. It is positioned to be a leader in excellence in the Charlotte Harbor and gulf islands region of Florida. The club features a championship course designed by 1986 PGA Champion Bob Tway, the Sorenstam Academy, led by Charlotta Sorenstam former winner of the LPGA Tour and Cahoots Bar and Grill, managed by executive chef and director of culinary operations Thomas Thompson, CEC. He is a former show runner at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort.
